SCHOOL VISITS, CLASSES & CAMPS

Childhood is a time when early learners acquire many of the skills they will need to become productive, happy adults. The Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center is a place where children can develop their social skills with their peers, learn through hand-on interactive exhibit, and spend quality time with the adults in their lives.

School & Group Visit

The Center serves as a creative and inspiring environment filled with educational activities for audiences of all ages. It is a place that strengthens families and serves as an important resource and support for parents, teachers and children.

Most importantly, the Children’s Discovery Center is a place where adults and children can learn and grow together through play.

Discovery Visit

This is a self-guided exploration of the Center’s exhibit galleries. The Discovery Visit is designed to give students an overview of the Children’s Discovery Center and a sampling of the many exhibits and activities. Our interactive exhibits are designed to stimulate curiosity and to help children develop problem solving skills. Staff and volunteers are available to assist with your group’s visit.

Focus Visit

Focused School Visits are an in-depth, interactive program based on one of the Center’s 5 educational exhibit galleries. These 90-minute visits include approximately 45 minutes of exploration in 1 selected gallery and 45 minutes of educational programming themed to that gallery.
